A search finds only exact matches. Searching for several words at once will only find entries with that exact set of words in that exact order.
The exact match extends to diacritics; when searching in Spanish or Muniche, accents must be included in the search. There is a small character palette below the search bar for your convenience.
Star (*) can be used as a wildcard, matching anything. Entering "a*" into the search will return all entries beginning with an "a." "*a" returns all entries ending in "a." "*ch*" returns all entries with "ch" in them.
A search on "Muniche Words" or "Definitions" will not produce phrase and sentence results. To see these results use "Entire Dictionary," "Muniche Words and Sentences," or "Definitions and Sentence Translations."
There are two ways to browse. Use the wildcard, or the semantic domains drop-down list.
The dictionary will not show more than 99 entries for speed optimization. If you receive a message that your search has produced more than this, narrow your search to load sound files.
The dictionary always returns something, as "related words."
